Our Story

Built by Those Who've Worn the Badge

CopCare911 was born from lived experience — because the weight of the job doesn't end when the shift does.

Our Mission

CopCare911 — Center for Redirection USA — exists to bridge the gap between law enforcement culture and mental health care. We provide peer support, wellness resources, and a community of understanding for those who have served or are currently serving in law enforcement.

We believe that asking for help is not a sign of weakness — it is an act of courage. The same courage that carried you through every shift, every call, every sacrifice. You gave everything to protect others. Now let us help protect you.

Dr. Michael K. Layne

Founder & Director, CopCare911 — Center for Redirection USA

Dr. Michael K. Layne has dedicated his career to understanding the unique psychological and emotional challenges faced by law enforcement officers — both during their service and after the badge comes off.

Having worked closely with officers navigating the transition out of law enforcement, Dr. Layne witnessed firsthand the isolation, identity loss, and untreated trauma that too many officers carry in silence. He founded CopCare911 to change that.

His approach is direct, peer-informed, and grounded in respect for law enforcement culture. He doesn't just understand the job academically — he understands the brotherhood, the sacrifice, and the silence that can become dangerous.

Dr. Layne's vision is simple: no officer should face their darkest moments alone. CopCare911 is his answer to that call.
